Cloud/AI Developer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Cloud/AI Developer will design, develop, and maintain innovative Java-based, cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on secure and scalable services for image processing and AI integration.
Key responsibilities
- Develop RESTful APIs and build image processing pipelines
- Integrate AI functionalities such as classification, OCR, and image redaction
- Implement security best practices and support DevOps initiatives through CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
Required qualifications
- Proven experience developing backend services and APIs in Java (Spring/Spring Boot preferred)
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating applications on GCP, utilizing serverless and container-based approaches
- Experience with image workflows and AI integration, including computer vision and metadata management
- Strong knowledge of secure engineering practices, including IAM, encryption, and audit logging
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
