Cloud Architect
Job Summary
To support a large-scale migration of applications and workloads from VMware to Pega or AWS Cloud, the full-time Cloud Architect will assess existing environments, plan migration strategies, and modernize applications while working primarily in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of workloads from VMware to Pega Cloud or AWS, assessing applications and recommending appropriate migration approaches
- Design and implement migration strategies, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability of cloud platforms
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure-as-Code tools and apply security best practices across environments
Required qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in VMware, Linux, Cloud, or Platform Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift, including installation and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of AWS services and hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Strong Linux (RHEL) administration skills along with knowledge of Ceph, ODF, CSM, and ASM
