Job Summary
To support a large-scale cloud optimization program for a Fortune 50 technology organization, the full-time Cloud Cost Optimization Manager will manage cloud cost reduction initiatives, partner with engineering teams and Cloud Service Providers, and drive measurable outcomes in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with AWS and GCP teams to identify savings opportunities and drive optimization initiatives
- Build and manage a pipeline of cloud cost reduction initiatives across various cloud services
- Prepare financial analyses and savings reports for senior stakeholders while monitoring cloud spend and optimization opportunities
Required qualifications
- 14+ years of professional experience in leading complex technical programs in large enterprises
- Strong experience with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and cloud financial management
- Knowledge of AWS and/or GCP, including pricing and cost optimization concepts
- Demonstrated ability to influence engineering teams and drive delivery without direct management authority
- Existing authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship
