Cloud Data Architect

Job Summary

To support enterprise data architecture initiatives, the full-time remote Cloud Data Architect will design and implement scalable data solutions, optimize data performance, and ensure data quality and security, while residing in North Carolina and attending onsite meetings as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and adoption of modern data architecture patterns and cloud-native solutions
• Develop and enforce enterprise data management strategies, ensuring data quality and security standards are met
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• At least five years of experience as a Cloud Data Architect, specifically with enterprise-scale data Lakehouse or data warehouse on Microsoft Azure
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification
• Experience with data modeling techniques such as dimensional, star/snowflake, and SCDs
• Knowledge of Azure Data Services, including ADLS Gen2, Data Factory, and Synapse
