Cloud Database Administrator

Job Summary

Seeking a knowledgeable Cloud Database Administrator III, the full-time remote position will manage and maintain cloud-based databases, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage database structures in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Ensure database performance, security, and availability while developing backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Collaborate with IT, development, and compliance teams to support business objectives and maintain documentation for database architectures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in database administration, with required Postgres and MySQL experience
• Proficiency with AWS and experience managing large fleets of AWS RDS and Aurora databases
• Strong understanding of database security practices and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH, PCI DSS)
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Terraform) for automation and DevOps support
