Cloud Database Analyst
Job Summary
To support cloud migration initiatives, the remote Cloud Database Analyst will lead database migration projects, design high-availability strategies, and enforce cloud security standards while managing cloud-hosted databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead database migration and deployment of lift-and-shift projects to cloud platforms
- Design and implement high-availability, backup/restore, and disaster recovery strategies for cloud-based databases
- Manage and optimize cloud-hosted databases while writing and tuning SQL queries to track performance and availability
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of IT experience, including varied database administration experience
- Experience with cloud data migration and CI/CD processes
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and performing SQL performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
