Cloud Database Engineer

Job Summary

To support the Navy's Warfighter Performance Department, the full-time salaried Cloud Database Engineer will design and build a secure, high-performing data platform using Databricks and S3, focusing on ingesting, validating, and transforming data for analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Build a production data platform on Advana that supports ongoing and future studies
• Engage hands-on with existing data and stakeholders to propose and iterate on a medallion architecture
• Implement automated quality control checks for data pipelines to surface anomalies early

Required qualifications

• BS degree with 8-12 years or Master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience; Doctorate in a technical domain is a plus
• Must possess or be able to obtain an active Secret Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required
• Expert knowledge of advanced technical principles and data pipeline engineering
• Familiarity with the Advana ecosystem and Jupiter-managed data ingest frameworks
• Experience engineering data pipelines for wearable devices or survey platforms is preferred
