Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the migration of a large data platform from Google Cloud Platform to AWS, the full-time Senior Cloud Engineer will execute end-to-end data migration, build synchronization pipelines, and implement AWS data architecture while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the full OLAP/OLTP migration from GCP to AWS, including data mapping and schema conversion
• Design and implement data synchronization pipelines with strict SLAs for latency and consistency
• Create monitoring and alerting frameworks to ensure real-time confidence in cross-cloud data fidelity

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in technology, with specialized training or progressively responsible work experience required
• Proven experience in data migration from BigQuery to Redshift and Cloud SQL to Aurora/RDS
• Strong knowledge of OLAP and OLTP systems, including dimensional modeling and transactional database optimization
• Experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, Aurora, and Lambda
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and CI/CD for data pipelines
