Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting mission requirements for a DoD customer, the full-time Cloud Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud environments in AWS and Azure, focusing on enhancing interoperability and mission-driven analytics while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud environments in compliance with DoD cloud security frameworks
• Configure identity and access management solutions and manage cloud security groups and firewalls
• Optimize cloud networking configurations and support the development of Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for automated deployments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or five years of equivalent experience in cloud engineering
• Experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS and Azure cloud environments with a focus on security and automation
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Strong expertise in the Authority to Operate (ATO) process and maintaining compliance with DoD governance frameworks
• Knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud configurations, including IAM and cloud networking best practices
