Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

To optimize and support AWS cloud environments, the full-time remote Cloud Engineer II will manage the provision, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of the organization's AWS infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage cloud strategies and adaptation processes
• Design, plan, and support the organization's cloud computing environment, ensuring reliability and security
• Monitor cloud resource consumption and application performance while collaborating with engineering teams on cloud service metrics

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
• Typically 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS
• Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and experience with IAM and network security
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
• Experience with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch and CloudTrail
