Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

To support the backend platform team, the Cloud Engineer will work remotely on a 4-month contract, focusing on building and extending cloud services for connected-device features using Go and AWS, while collaborating with senior engineers on architecture and code reviews.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and extend services and endpoints for device state, telemetry, and notifications according to design specifications
• Write Go code to manage device telemetry through the event pipeline and implement API handlers for various functionalities
• Participate in code reviews, debug issues along the device data path, and support day-to-day operations related to device rollouts and diagnostics

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience building backend services in the cloud, with proficiency in Go or another statically typed language
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/Fargate, and DynamoDB
• Knowledge of HTTP API design, including error handling and authentication
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
• Experience writing unit tests for code developed independently
