Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Senior Staff Platform Engineer / Subject Matter Expert (SME) will design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance cloud service reliability and security.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Crossplane and Terraform
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to define platform requirements and streamline the software delivery process
- Monitor and optimize the performance and cost of DevOps tools and platforms to ensure reliability and scalability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 10 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in software development and infrastructure operations
- Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD
