Job Summary

Cloud Engineer (Go), this is a remote contract position focused on designing and developing distributed data processing platforms and cloud-native software solutions for agricultural research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop distributed data processing and analytics platforms for large-scale datasets
• Build and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs and cloud-native services using Go
• Lead technical initiatives involving stream processing and scalable cloud infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing production-grade software applications using Go
• Experience with data-intensive RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and large-scale databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, and event-streaming technologies like Apache Kafka
• Experience in mentoring engineers and contributing to engineering best practices
• Background in scientific dataset analysis or large-scale data platforms is preferred
