Job Summary
To support U.S. Army IT managed services, the full-time Cloud Engineer with Security+ Certification will design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on FedRAMP-authorized platforms while ensuring secure operations in a hybrid IT landscape, with remote work eligibility and local on-site options for candidates in the Roanoke and Radford, Virginia area.
Key responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure supporting Army workloads on platforms like AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure Government
- Lead cloud migration efforts, including workload assessments and cloud-native refactoring
- Develop and enforce cloud governance policies and maintain high availability and disaster recovery plans
Required qualifications
- 5-8 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with cloud migration or enterprise IT modernization
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification required
- Active cloud certification such as AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Google Professional Cloud Architect
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required at the time of hire
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field required
