Cloud Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Driving AWS cloud cost optimization, the full-time salaried Cloud Financial Analyst will manage cost-saving initiatives, analyze AWS billing data, and partner with engineering teams to enhance cost-aware development practices while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the AWS cloud cost savings tracker, monitoring initiative progress against budget targets
• Analyze AWS Cost and Usage Reports to identify optimization opportunities and build cloud margin reporting
• Partner with development teams to integrate cost awareness into engineering culture and evaluate AWS commitment instruments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, with at least 1 year in cloud cost management or FinOps
• Experience with AWS cost tooling such as AWS Cost Explorer and Cost and Usage Reports
• Strong data skills, including proficiency in Excel, SQL, or Python for analyzing high-volume datasets
• Technical aptitude with hands-on AWS experience and scripting ability is highly desirable
