Cloud FinOps Analyst

Job Summary

Managing and optimizing cloud expenses within the Engineering organization, the full-time Cloud FinOps Analyst will focus on AWS infrastructure, Snowflake data platforms, and OpenAI/Anthropic API utilization while collaborating with engineering teams to build cost-efficient systems remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage cost models tracking spend across OpenAI and Anthropic, detailing costs by application and model types
• Audit Snowflake utilization to optimize virtual warehouse sizing and data storage lifecycles
• Monitor AWS consumption and propose optimization strategies, including infrastructure rightsizing and managing Savings Plans

Required qualifications

• A minimum of 6-7 years of professional experience in cloud financial management or engineering operations
• Understanding of Snowflake credit structures and LLM pricing metrics
• Knowledge of core AWS services, pricing models, and cost management tools
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction and manipulation
• Experience building dashboards in QuickSight or equivalent BI tools
