Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Architect, the full-time position will define and own Okta's Cloud Platform architecture, lead Kubernetes design, and elevate AI platform infrastructure while collaborating cross-functionally in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and establish architectural standards and design patterns for cloud infrastructure
• Lead the architecture for Kubernetes and EKS, evolving cluster strategy and security posture
• Drive multi-cloud strategy, ensuring intentional workload placement across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with expertise in major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Proven experience designing and operating Kubernetes and EKS at scale
• Experience architecting infrastructure for AI and machine learning workloads
• Strong cloud security background, including IAM design and compliance frameworks
• Infrastructure-as-code fluency with tools like Terraform or AWS CDK
