Job Summary
Shaping resilient and scalable cloud foundations, the full-time Staff Cloud Infrastructure Architect will define cloud architecture standards, oversee platform modernization, and design capacity strategies while working remotely to support Empower's growth in a highly regulated environment.
Key responsibilities
- Define cloud architecture principles and modernization roadmaps across Azure and AWS, translating business priorities into actionable strategies
- Architect the migration of on-premises workloads to cloud-native services, ensuring compliance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Establish Infrastructure-as-Code standards and engineer intelligent automation for operational processes to enhance efficiency and quality
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Ten or more years of progressive infrastructure or cloud engineering experience, with substantial architecture ownership across Azure and AWS
- Demonstrated success in designing secure and resilient cloud platforms in fast-paced environments
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code lifecycle practices
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Terraform certification strongly preferred
