Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Owning software projects end-to-end, the full-time remote Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will architect and build internal platforms, deliver solutions using AWS services, and improve cloud efficiency for Slack's infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Own software projects from scoping and design through delivery and iteration
• Architect and build a next-generation internal platform for engineering teams
• Deliver solutions leveraging containerization, virtualization, and AWS services

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering or a closely related discipline
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, or PHP
• Extensive experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation for infrastructure-as-code
• Deep hands-on AWS experience with familiarity across many services
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms
