Cloud Migration Engineer
Job Summary
Assessing application portfolios and defining migration strategies, the full-time Cloud Migration Engineer will design secure, scalable architectures within AWS GovCloud while executing application and data migrations in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assess enterprise application portfolios and determine migration approaches using the 7 Rs of cloud migration
- Design secure and scalable AWS GovCloud architectures that meet security and operational requirements
- Develop migration plans, including runbooks and rollback strategies, while coordinating migration waves across teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing AWS cloud architectures, preferably within AWS GovCloud
- Strong understanding of enterprise application migration strategies and the 7 Rs migration framework
- Hands-on experience with AWS migration tools such as MGN, DMS, and DataSync
- Experience developing infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
