Cloud Network Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing cloud infrastructure, a remote contract Cloud Network Engineer will design, implement, and manage networking solutions across on-premises and multiple cloud platforms, ensuring secure and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Cisco ASR-based on-premises networks and collaborate with the cloud team for scalable and secure cloud network architecture
• Plan, test, and document network posture to ensure secure connectivity and operations within cloud environments
• Create and maintain configuration artifacts, including network maps and detailed designs, while collaborating with stakeholders to define technical requirements

Required qualifications

• Four to eight years of proven experience in Network Architecture and/or Engineering
• Bachelor's degree or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of cloud networking principles, including VPCs, subnetting, and routing protocols
• Experience with at least one Infrastructure-as-Code tool like Terraform or CloudFormation
