Cloud Operations Director

Job Summary

Leading the strategic direction and operational management of enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms, the full-time remote Cloud Operations Director will oversee the design, implementation, and modernization of critical IT services, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-effectiveness across cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the cloud strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and governance standards
• Own the cloud operating model, managing service catalogs, SLAs/SLOs, and cross-team governance
• Create and manage the cloud roadmap and investment plan, focusing on modernization and technical debt reduction

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles managing engineering teams
• 5+ years of experience in microservices cloud architecture, design, and implementation at scale
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure
• Experience with large-scale cloud migrations and modernization initiatives
