Cloud Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Cloud Operations Engineer will be responsible for the availability, monitoring, maintenance, incident response, and resolution of cloud services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure service health meets defined SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the cloud service, ensuring availability and performance
• Troubleshoot and perform initial triage of issues in large-scale distributed systems
• Evaluate and implement solutions for identified problems and preventive maintenance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in operating systems and networking
• Relevant experience with cloud administration and automation, particularly in Azure or AWS
• Strong troubleshooting skills and technical abilities in Linux and Windows Server environments
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Terraform
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and cloud technologies like Kubernetes or Docker
