Cloud Operations Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance the reliability and performance of a multi-product SaaS platform, the full-time Cloud Operations Engineer III will manage observability practices, automation initiatives, and security controls while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Datadog platform, including instrumentation standards, dashboards, and alerting for all products and environments
- Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, and Bash to eliminate manual processes and enhance operational efficiency
- Implement security controls and maintain documentation while providing mentorship to junior engineers on best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5-7 years of experience in cloud operations, site reliability, or DevOps engineering for production SaaS systems
- Hands-on experience with Datadog, including APM, distributed tracing, and dashboard creation
- Strong scripting and automation skills in PowerShell, with experience in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline authoring
- Proven incident response experience in a customer-facing production environment
