Cloud Platform Architect

Job Summary

Leading the architecture of cloud infrastructure platforms, the full-time Lead Platform Architect, Cloud will design, implement, and manage secure and scalable technology solutions while working a hybrid schedule in Richmond, Virginia.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise cloud infrastructure architecture, including landing zones and shared services
• Lead design for complex initiatives involving cloud, network, identity, and operations while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
• Mentor engineers and architects on cloud infrastructure best practices and promote reusable, automated infrastructure patterns

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an architect and 10+ years in IT
• 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Azure
• Strong experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale infrastructure architectures
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS), networking, and identity management concepts
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and Zero Trust architecture principles
