Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To support new project initiatives, the contract Cloud Platform Engineer will manage and evolve the Infrastructure as Code for shared platform services and workload landing zones, primarily using Azure and AWS, in a fully remote work environment for a duration of 6-14 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Author and maintain Terraform modules for shared platform services and workload landing zones
• Operate the primary Azure estate and cover the secondary AWS estate, ensuring consistent cross-cloud practices
• Engineer policy and governance enforcement through Azure Policy and implement guardrails in landing zone templates

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
• Four to seven years of cloud platform engineering experience for Mid-level; eight years or more for Senior level, with significant Azure operational experience
• Demonstrable production experience with Terraform, including module authoring and state management
• Strong working knowledge of Azure platform services, networking, and management groups
• Familiarity with AWS landing zone equivalents and basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform is desirable
