Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Cloud Platform Engineer, the ideal candidate will design and implement secure enterprise infrastructure, develop automation solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally while mentoring junior engineers in a remote or Arlington, VA office setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and sustain secure enterprise infrastructure across classified environments, managing the full lifecycle of virtual environments
• Develop automation and software solutions to build and operate scalable infrastructure while supporting code reviews and integration testing
• Identify capability gaps and lead proof-of-concept efforts for emerging technologies, contributing to roadmap development and technology investment recommendations

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise systems engineering and software development or operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong background in MS Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, containers, and Cloud Hosting
• Proficiency in at least one automation and scripting language and one coding language
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and experience applying federal compliance frameworks to IT systems
