Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Cloud Security Engineer, responsible for overseeing the security posture of an AWS environment in a full-time remote role, focusing on designing security controls, integrating automated security checks, and collaborating with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and improve AWS security posture including IAM policies and VPC segmentation
• Review IaC modules for security defaults and integrate automated security checks
• Develop detection logic for cloud-specific threats and support audit activities

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in cloud security or a security-focused infrastructure role
• Deep expertise with AWS security services such as IAM, GuardDuty, and Security Hub
• Experience writing infrastructure as code with a security-first mindset
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language for automation
• Ability to evaluate architectural decisions for security risk
