Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Cloud Security Engineer, responsible for managing and enhancing the security posture of an AWS environment in a full-time remote role, focusing on designing security controls, integrating automated security checks, and collaborating with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and improve AWS security posture across multiple accounts and services
• Integrate automated security checks into deployment pipelines and review infrastructure as code for security defaults
• Develop detection logic for cloud-specific threats and support audit and compliance activities

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in cloud security, cloud engineering, or security-focused infrastructure roles
• Hands-on expertise with AWS security services including IAM, GuardDuty, and Security Hub
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform) with a security-first approach
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation (e.g., Python, TypeScript)
• Familiarity with cloud compliance requirements such as SOC 2 or PCI-DSS is a plus
