Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Cloud Security Engineer, a full-time position focused on day-to-day security engineering, including system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and cloud operations across AWS environments, with participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform systems administration and maintenance, including patching, vulnerability scanning, and compliance remediation for cloud workloads
• Support AWS environments and assist with GCP and Azure as needed, configuring and maintaining security tools
• Respond to after-hours security alerts and incidents, documenting actions taken and recommending improvements

Required Qualifications

• Six or more years of IT engineering and/or cybersecurity experience, with at least three years in cloud security engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS environments in a security engineering or cloud operations capacity
• Experience with cloud-native security tooling and monitoring solutions
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across Linux and Windows systems and cloud services
• Familiarity with ITSM ticketing systems such as GitLab, Jira, or ServiceNow
