Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

To safeguard systems and data in a multi-cloud environment, the full-time Cloud Security Engineer will implement and maintain security measures, monitor cloud environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Monitors cloud environments and assists in responding to incidents and alerts
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices and controls into the deployment and development lifecycle
• Conducts regular security assessments, control verifications, and vulnerability mitigations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, STEM, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of general IT experience with knowledge of security concepts and frameworks
• Real-world experience with at least one major cloud platform is a plus
• Firm understanding of general cloud computing concepts
• Knowledge of cloud administration consoles, networking, and database concepts
