Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

The full-time remote Staff Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and automate security controls in cloud environments, primarily AWS, while developing advanced security solutions through coding and automation to enhance the organization's security posture and prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement a comprehensive authorization framework and Just-In-Time (JIT) access control systems for cloud resources
• Develop and maintain security automation scripts and tools in Python or Go to streamline security operations and incident response
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security practices into the development toolchain and CI/CD pipelines

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in cloud security with a focus on AWS and strong software development skills in Python and Go
• Experience designing and implementing authorization frameworks and Just-In-Time (JIT) access solutions
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform for security configurations
• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and SDLC security practices
