Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Cloud Security Engineer, this remote position will manage cybersecurity architecture and operations, implementing security controls across identity, endpoints, and cloud infrastructure within Microsoft platforms to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with NIST standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Architect, implement, and administer enterprise security solutions across Microsoft platforms, ensuring optimal security posture and operational efficiency
• Lead cybersecurity architecture, focusing on identity governance, endpoint protection, and cloud security posture management, while managing vendor oversight and deliverables
• Direct threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management programs, developing detection content and response playbooks to enhance security monitoring

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or enterprise IT security
• At least one relevant industry cybersecurity certification (e.g., Microsoft SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, CISSP, CISM, or GIAC), with a requirement to obtain one within 6-12 months of hire
• Experience supporting a regulated industry (energy, utilities, financial services, healthcare, or public sector) is highly desired
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft security tools, including Microsoft Entra ID, Defender XDR, Sentinel, and Intune
