Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance cloud security in a hybrid environment, the full-time remote Cloud Security Engineer will manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud, enforce security policies, and integrate security measures into CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with the Information Security team.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and tune Microsoft Defender for Cloud, remediating misconfigurations and excessive access
• Embed security into Terraform and GitHub Actions pipelines, including IaC scanning and secrets management
• Support cloud threat hunting and incident response, automating enrichment and remediation processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience in cloud security or cloud engineering, specifically with Microsoft Azure
• Proficient in Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, and Microsoft Entra ID
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CI/CD security in GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel for data ingestion and security monitoring
