Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Cloud Security Engineer II with expertise in AWS and SecOps, this full-time remote position is responsible for monitoring security alerts, responding to incidents, and automating defenses within the Tripadvisor Experiences platform.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts from AWS infrastructure and application logs
• Build and maintain security monitoring capabilities and automate security operations tasks
• Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities in the codebase

Required qualifications

• Hands-on experience securing production environments in AWS, including core security services
• Proficiency with Terraform for managing and securing cloud infrastructure
• Proven experience with the full lifecycle of security incidents
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash)
• Solid understanding of common web application vulnerabilities and defenses
