Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer for a full-time remote position focused on driving the remediation of public cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) by developing mitigation plans, managing cloud secrets, and addressing root causes of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute mitigation plans to address high-priority cloud issues in GCP, Azure, or AWS
• Coordinate the rotation of mismanaged cloud secrets with engineering and infrastructure teams
• Validate the effective remediation of cloud issues, either directly or through partner teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience writing automation pipelines and/or scripts specifically for GCP
• At least 3+ years of experience writing production Terraform code in a complex environment
• Proficiency with on-prem and cloud networking, including core infrastructure components
• Strong proficiency in cloud engineering and automation (Infrastructure-as-Code, Scripting, CI/CD)
