Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Focusing on cloud security and AWS architecture, the full-time Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security measures for sensitive health information in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain AWS-focused cloud security architecture aligned with HIPAA, NIST, and HITRUST
• Implement security controls in AWS environments using various AWS security services and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
• Collaborate with Development and CloudOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and monitor cloud environments for security incidents

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of hands-on security engineering experience with a strong focus on AWS
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows
• Familiarity with HIPAA, NIST, SOC 2, and HITRUST security controls
• Experience with Microsoft Entra, Active Directory, and AWS IAM
