Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

To support a multi-year cybersecurity modernization program for a large federal agency, the full-time Cloud Security Engineer will plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures in cloud environments while collaborating with a security architecture and engineering team remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security measures protecting agency networks, systems, and information
• Design and develop security solutions for complex system administration and network issues
• Support the integration and development of automated and AI-based solutions in cloud environments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or cybersecurity-related field
• 2 to 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity with knowledge of security engineering functions
• Hands-on experience in systems management and integration in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience implementing, upgrading, or monitoring security controls and security tooling
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency, with the ability to pass a federal agency suitability or background investigation
