Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the security of software development and cloud infrastructure, the full-time remote Cloud Security Engineer will implement code-security checks, operationalize a cloud security framework, and manage AWS access while collaborating with a junior engineer in a growing security program.

Key responsibilities

• Implement code-security scanning and automated application testing in the CI/CD pipeline
• Operationalize a 15-domain cloud security framework and manage CrowdStrike CSPM across AWS environments
• Centralize AWS access management and enforce least-privilege roles while establishing tagging standards

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps/platform and security engineering, with ownership of CI/CD systems and AWS
• Hands-on experience with SAST/DAST/SCA tooling and implementing developer-friendly security gates
• Strong knowledge of AWS security, including IAM, networking, and posture management tools
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and automation using Terraform/CloudFormation and Python
• Collaborative experience in distributed teams with a focus on mentorship and cross-time zone cooperation
