Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Driving continuous improvement in cloud security, the full-time Cloud Security Engineer will design, deploy, and manage security solutions while executing the company's Information Security and Compliance roadmap in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and enhance existing security policies, identify vulnerabilities, and lead key security programs
• Develop and implement DevSec practices to integrate security into the software development lifecycle
• Conduct security assessments of cloud applications and APIs while managing AWS WAF rules and automation processes

Required qualifications

• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Business, Healthcare, or related technology/security discipline
• 7-10 years of experience in information security, particularly in cloud architectures and incident response
• Strong understanding of application architectures, security best practices, and proficiency in programming or scripting languages
• Experience with security tools and frameworks such as AWS WAF and knowledge of APIs and DevSec practices
• Certifications in information security (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, CISSP, CISM) are preferred
