Cloud Security Managing Engineer

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the fully remote Managing Engineer, Cloud Security Engineering will build and operate cloud security capabilities, providing hands-on technical leadership while ensuring the delivery of reliable and scalable security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an engineering team focused on delivering cloud security controls as software products, including hiring and performance management
• Set technical direction and ensure high-quality execution across design, implementation, and production support of cloud security capabilities
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture reviews, code reviews, and critical implementation support

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software, cloud, platform, or security engineering with ownership of production systems
• 2+ years of experience in leading and developing engineering teams through hands-on technical guidance
• Deep experience securing cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including cloud-native services and security controls
• Strong proficiency in Python, Bash, Terraform, and cloud-native automation tools
• Ability to translate security requirements into scalable engineering solutions and automated controls
