Cloud Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting software development and system engineering teams, the full-time Cloud Systems Engineer will work remotely to test developed software in the AWS Cloud, including writing and executing test procedures and collaborating with multiple teams to meet business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and design server, network, and software configurations for cloud computing infrastructure with a focus on DevOps principles
• Monitor and test system performance while familiarizing with cloud technology concepts such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and the development process as needed

Required qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, a Technical Field, or 4+ years of experience supporting AWS
• 4-6 years of experience administrating cloud computing, storage, and infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Proficiency in coding languages such as Perl, Java, PowerShell, PHP, Ruby, or Python
• Hands-on experience with cloud services, containerization technologies, and job scheduling software tools
• Experience with AWS Lambda and Serverless systems in large-scale enterprise IT environments
