Cloud Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Systems Engineer will manage the administration and operations of a global cloud infrastructure for a SaaS product, focusing on automation, configuration management, and collaboration with engineering teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code for the global private cloud
- Develop tools in Python, bash, and JavaScript to enhance automation and improve maintenance experiences
- Participate in escalations and Root Cause Analysis for issues in both US Federal and global Commercial infrastructures
Required qualifications:
- Strong expertise in Linux and systems administration
- Prior experience in Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps managing large-scale server infrastructure
- Proficiency in performance and availability monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Ansible, Puppet)
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as Perl, Python, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with database technologies like MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
