CloudOps Engineer

Job Summary

To support a long-term project for multiple government agencies, the remote CloudOps Engineer - 3rd Shift will design and deploy cloud solutions on AWS, automate operations, and ensure system availability during the hours of 10 PM to 6 AM.

Key responsibilities:

• Configuration as code for infrastructure, system configuration, and application deployments
• Design and deploy cloud solutions on AWS while automating operations and maintenance activities
• Monitor application availability and address operational issues, including reviewing security scan reports

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience with system administration of RPM-based Linux distributions
• Automation experience with AWS cloud services and technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform
• Experience with shell scripting and CI/CD pipeline tools
• Knowledge of government and industry security standards and remediating issues from security audits
