CMMC Compliance Chief Information Officer

Job Summary

Providing executive leadership and operational oversight for CMMC compliance, the part-time Chief Information Officer (CIO) will manage the company's CMMC Level 2 program and Microsoft GCC High environment, ensuring cybersecurity controls and governance processes remain compliant and audit-ready while working remotely with periodic onsite support.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated CIO for all CMMC-related activities and provide strategic technology guidance to executive leadership
• Oversee the CMMC Level 2 program, including reviewing compliance metrics, policies, and preparation for assessments
• Lead cybersecurity risk assessments and ensure effective management of corrective actions and remediation plans

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of progressive IT leadership experience
• Previous experience serving as CIO, CISO, or in an equivalent executive role
• Demonstrated experience supporting CMMC Level 2 or NIST SP 800-171 compliance programs
• Experience operating within DoD, federal contractor, or defense-industrial-base environments
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 GCC High and related security tools
