Coastal Management Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coastal Management Specialist to support coastal management initiatives and projects in the Great Lakes region.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Coastal Zone Management Act programs and provide technical reviews for proposals
• Provide technical and grants management support for Great Lakes Restoration Initiative projects
• Coordinate with partners on coastal resource management issues and participate in regional meetings

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Environmental Policy, Marine Policy, or a related field, plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of coastal zone management issues and the Coastal Zone Management Act, with Great Lakes experience preferred
• Experience in nature-based solutions for shoreline management and enhancing climate resilience
• Ability to pass a National Agency Check and maintain it throughout employment
• Documented experience in environmental planning and stakeholder outreach
