COB and Subrogation Specialist

Job Summary

To maximize medical cost recoveries from third parties, the full-time COB and Subrogation Specialist will effectively triage, track, and negotiate subrogation claims while working remotely and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging and tracking notifications of potential third-party liability for medical costs incurred by members
• Leading negotiations and settlements of subrogation claims to optimize recoveries while adhering to laws and internal policies
• Identifying process improvement opportunities to enhance collections in subrogation cases and coordination of benefits overpayments

Required qualifications

• Experience with subrogation processes at a commercial health plan
• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations related to coordination of benefits and subrogation
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience in a startup environment is a plus
