COBOL Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a COBOL Developer.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather requirements, analyze existing processes, and design solutions to meet business needs
• Design, code, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and provide ongoing support for production systems
• Create and optimize DB2 queries and develop batch processing jobs using JCL

Required Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL
• Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and tools like GitHub and JIRA
• Ability to work collaboratively with business analysts, testers, QA teams, and other developers
• Experience in preparing and updating technical documentation and process flows
• Familiarity with Eclipse-based tools is a plus
