COBOL Developer

Job Summary

Supporting a large-scale, mission-critical healthcare claims processing environment, the remote COBOL Developer will design, develop, and enhance enterprise COBOL applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate legacy systems with modern solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise COBOL applications and online transaction processing using CICS
• Analyze and resolve production issues while ensuring ongoing application maintenance and system stability
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and developers to support system integration and participate in technical design discussions

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of mainframe application development experience
• Strong experience programming in COBOL and developing CICS online applications
• Experience working within large-scale batch processing environments
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
