Job Summary

Focusing on modernizing legacy applications, the full-time COBOL Developer will refactor existing COBOL-based business logic into SQL/MX within the HPE NonStop environment, supporting the AIRES application remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Refactor and migrate legacy COBOL code into SQL/MX-based implementations
• Analyze existing business logic and redesign it for modern database-driven architecture
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and system reliability

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL development and refactoring
• Experience with HPE NonStop systems
• Proficiency in SQL/MX and SQL/MX Database Manager
• Proven experience migrating or modernizing legacy systems
• Solid understanding of enterprise application architecture and database-driven solutions
